Sacred Texts Reader is a free reading app for the world's sacred and classic texts: the Bhagavad Gita, the Bible, the Qur'an, the Tao Te Ching, the Upanishads, the Dhammapada and thousands more. You can read online or offline, listen with your device's voices, keep private notes and translate chapters into your language.

The texts come from the Internet Sacred Text Archive, mostly classic public-domain English translations, with the translator named on each book. Sacred Texts Reader is an independent project, not the official app of the Internet Sacred Text Archive, the Internet Archive or any religious organisation.

It is built and maintained by Chirag Kushwaha. There are no ads, no accounts and no in-app purchases; your library and notes stay on your device.
